Sourceport Computing offers a wide range of diversified services and has posted the following information to define both our warranty coverage and customer service practices. Our privacy policy can be found over here.
Warranty Coverage
All software and hardware diagnostics, repairs, upgrades and new systems come with a limited 30 day warranty in respect to the work performed, provided our technicians can verify that the reported problem is not a case of tampering, misuse, or abuse and the client has a valid receipt in hand to verify that we did in fact perform said work on his or her computer and that he or she is within the applicable 30 day warranty period.
In the event our technicians can demonstrate tampering, misuse and/or abuse, or that the newly reported problem is unrelated to the original work, the reported problem will be deemed as a new issue and will be billed accordingly. Valid re-works will be performed at no cost to the client, provided the customer can present the original receipt to verify that we did do the work and the job is still within the warranty period.
Consumers understand that all hardware and software purchases are acquired from third party sources, each of whom maintain policies of their own. Consumers agree to hold Sourceport Computing harmless of any possible hardware failure(s) and/or corrupted software issue(s) and agree to abide by the standard operating procedures set forth by the manufacturer and/or software author's respective warranty and service policies if any of the original item(s) purchased by the client require replacement.
In the event that a manufacturer warranty becomes an issue, Sourceport Computing agrees to honor its warranty beyond the 30 day period (one time only) and will install the replacement part(s) and/or software application(s) in question at no cost to the client upon receipt from the manufacturer and/or software author.
Customer understands and agrees that tampering, misuse and abuse of any of our work will immediately void his or her warranty and will result in the job being deemed as a new project that will be billed at full price.
Sales & Service
Sourceport Computing will refuse to install software and/or operating systems that are not accompanied with a valid license key and will almost always require the original authentic installation disc to perform a proper installation due to version algorithm issues and various legal considerations.
Sourceport Computing is only responsible for repairing the reported problem or problems at the time that the client's machine is checked into our shop and will not be held liable for previous, future, or additional issues that the customer is already aware of, or which have been explained to the customer and which the client has refused to allow us to repair, who will then deem these as new issues if brought back at a later date.
Clients requesting data recovery both understand and agree that this process is not an exact science and on occasion might fail. In the unlikely event that a data recovery attempt has failed, the client agrees to hold Sourceport Computing harmless of any and all claims.
While in most cases we are typically successful, the client understands and agrees that the time and effort involved in attempting to recover lost data is exactly the same regardless of the outcome and that all applicable fees for the attempt have been earned by time and effort, been billed fairly and are non-refundable.
Sourceport Computing is not responsible for improperly installed hardware or software performed by the end user or third party after the work we were contracted to perform has been completed. This will be deemed as a new issue and will be billed accordingly.
Shipping
Products that are purchased for shipping will be sent to the buyer after funds have been cleared by the bank.
The method of payment selected will typically dictate any delays in the processing of an order. Occassional items sold from our site are often drop-shipped from our suppliers, while others may be sent directly by us.
Products shipped directly by us are generally insured against damage by our chosen carrier, whose rules will apply to any and all claims against damage during shipment to any buyers who need to submit a valid claim.
Claims against damage on drop shipped items are reported as per the policies in force by the respective supplier, whose guidelines may ocassionaly vary. All valid claims require original documentation to process.
Purchases from our website can only be shipped to locations within the continental US, Alaska and Hawaii.
Buyer understands and agrees that all sales are final. We resolve valid (but rare) cases of shipping damage.
Payments
Upon completion of all work, any item(s) left at Sourceport Computing beyond 30 days of the service invoice date shall become the sole property of Sourceport Computing and will be disposed of as we see fit, unless previously agreed, written arrangements have been made with the client to accommodate special situations.
Sourceport Computing accepts credit/debit card payments, provided the payment is sent/accepted through our PayPal system. Personal checks are limited to pre-approved accounts only due to the recent rise in fraudulent transactions. Business checks accepted at our discretion. Cash is always accepted. All billable products/services must be paid for in full prior to releasing any machine(s) and/or products from our facility.
Sourceport Computing does not offer refunds for labor performed. All fees paid by the client are final.
Rewards
All qualifed cash rewards are paid out as promptly as possible, as per the rules as described in the offer.
Participants of the program accept responsibility for maintaining current and appropriate contact information, which is required by us to both verify claims and facilitate all processing of payments to the participant.
Failure of the participant to keep their information up to date with our company would clearly prevent us from processing the payment and result in the claim being deemed as invalid and void.
Multiple unlimited claims may be filed during the life of the offer, however all claims must be verified via direct contact with the participant who is filing the claim at the time it is filed, either by phone or in person.
Invalid claims will be ignored and unpaid and abuse of the offer will result in account termination.
